Nursing Services

The department focuses on delivery of highest possible quality of nursing care, promotion of nursing education and participation in community health programs. Nurses are deployed in every department of medical services allowing the greater coverage of health care de­livery services such as in AICU, NICU/PICU, Medicine, Surgery, Gynecology, Emergency (ER), Dialysis, Major OT, TB and OPD units. The department ensures proper evaluation and periodic monitoring system in providing comprehensive nursing care and services.

Currently, there are 149 active nurses in the hospital. Among them, there are 5 nurse specialists with master’s degrees, 29 Clinical Nurses with bachelor’s in nursing, 93 Staff Nurses with diploma in General nursing and Midwifery and 22 Assistant Nurs­es with certificate courses in nursing.

  • Surgical ward ( General surgery, Orthopedic, ENT, Ophthal, Dental): 12 nurses
  • AICU: 11 Nurses
  • Emergency: 18 Nurses
  • Tuberculosis ward: 2 Nurses, 1 TB focal person
  • Anesthesiology unit: 4 nurse anesthetists
  • Operation theatre: 14 scrub nurses, 1 peri-operative nurse
  • Post-Operative unit: 2 nurses
