General Surgery Unit consists of:
- 2 General Surgeons
- 1 OPD nurse
Services
- General surgical consultations
- Minor OT services such as excision of lumps, excisional biopsies, RBL for hemorrhoids, etc.
- Cryotherapy for skin lesions
- All major and minor routine and emergency general surgery services such as:
- Cholecystectomy
- Appendectomy
- Herniotomy
- Laparoscopic surgeries
- District Attachment training of post-graduate resident doctors and Intern doctors from KGUMSB
- 12 beds allotted in the surgical ward
- Preoperative and postoperative management of both elective and emergency cases
- Preoperative and postoperative management of daycare surgeries
- Patient escort
- Preparation of patients for diagnostic procedures like colonoscopy
- Upper and lower GI endoscopies)
- Diagnostic upper endoscopy service
- Endoscopic Biopsy
- Endoscopic banding (To control upper gastric bleeding, emergency cases)
- Diagnostic Colonoscopy
- UBT (screening H. Pylori bacteria)
