The Bhutan Cancer Society hosted an awareness program for the staff of CRRH to promote community involvement in supporting children and adolescents with cancer. The session included an introduction to the “Phami Dhuhing Group,” a parent support group dedicated to childhood and adolescent cancer. A member of the group shared her personal experience of her daughter’s battle with cancer and encouraged other parents to join the group for support and advocacy.
Dr. Dechen Wangdi from CRRH also gave a presentation on the early signs and symptoms of childhood cancer, stressing the importance of early detection and intervention.
