Every year, the 20th of March is observed as World Oral Health Day. The theme for this year is “A Happy Mouth is… A Happy Mind”, emphasizing the strong connection between good oral health and mental well-being.The day was marked at the Dental Health Unit of the old hospital complex at CRRH, with participation from staff and patients visiting the unit for dental services.

The Medical Superintendent and Nursing Superintendent also graced the occasion. It was observed in a simple and meaningful manner, with a cake-cutting ceremony and offerings shared among everyone present.

Dr. Krishna, a general dental surgeon who has served at CRRH for over a decade, shared her insights. She noted a steady increase in the number of dental patients over the years, reflecting growing public awareness about oral health. She also acknowledged the significant impact of the hospital’s ongoing oral health awareness programs and school visits in promoting dental hygiene in the community.

As CRRH continues to serve as a referral hospital, there is hope that a dental specialist will soon join the team to further strengthen dental care services.
