CRRH conducted the second class of its Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Series on 28 January 2025. The session was on Abnormal Uterine Bleeding: Evaluation and Management and delivered by Dr. Tandin Om, Gynaecologist and Obstetrician.
โAbnormal uterine bleeding (AUB) is one of the most common gynecological problems. Timely evaluation, diagnosis and management of AUB helps rule out life-threatening diseases, risk of cancer and unnecessary surgeries, improving patient outcomes and quality of life. Dr. Om updated the participants on causes of AUB, PALMโCOEIN classification, relevant investigations, and basic management.
โThe class was conducted in a hybrid format, with both in-person and Zoom participants. Approximately 50 participants attended the session, including healthcare professionals from CRRH and other hospitals.
โCRRH Lecture Series for the Advancement of Clinical Skills (CLASS) was first launched in September 2025 with the objectives of:
โ1. Revising the basics of medicine and surgery relevant to field staff (doctors, nurses, health assistants, and technicians)
โ2. Encouraging clinical case discussions to promote lifelong learning
โ3. Establishing CRRH as a centre for learning through the invitation of relevant experts
