The Biomedical Engineering team at CRRH has successfully conducted two batches of training for clinical users on the Biomedical Module of the ePIS system on 20 and 21 March 2026. This newly developed module is designed to support the management of equipment breakdowns and failures, maintenance activities, and spare parts requisition, among other features.

Clinical users play a key role in reporting equipment failures at the unit level, ensuring timely response and efficient service delivery. The training sessions included participation from Jigmecholing PHC under Sarpang Dzongkhag.

Similar training sessions will be conducted at Sarpang Hospital and Chhuzanggang Hospital in the coming week, along with participants from other PHCs under Sarpang Dzongkhag. This initiative is part of a nationwide training program that will cover all health centres across the country.

The implementation of these processes through ePIS will eventually replace the current paper-based system, enabling faster service delivery and supporting more efficient and cost-effective decision-making related to medical equipment in the long run.
