Eight ( resident doctors from the Faculty of Postgraduate Medicine, Kgumsb , Khesar Gyalpo University of Medical Sciences of Bhutan have joined the hospital for a month-long clinical attachment. The objective of their attachment is to provide an added experience of learning under the supervision of specialists at Central Regional Referral Hospital, Gelephu who are also adjunct faculty members of the Faculty of Postgraduate Medicine, KGUMSB. The attachment will also provide an exposure to clinical case load and experience of working at a regional referral hospital.
In the batch, there are two Resident doctors pursuing Internal Medicine, and Emergency Medicine. While there are one each in General Practice, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Anaesthesiology, and General Surgery.
Today, the residents were introduced to adjunct faculty members and specialists. A GDMO working in CRRH provided an orientation of the hospital. The Medical Superintendent encouraged them to take the opportunity to enhance their clinical skills.
CRRH is a teaching hospital for doctors, nurses and technicians undergoing training in various fields at the KGUMSB.
