Medical Desk Report

Reporting Period: March 6 – March 24, 2025

Overview:During the Tsapoed Wang event, the Central Regional Referral Hospital (CRRH) established a first aid medical desk manned by clinical staff to ensure the health and safety of attendees. An ambulance was kept on standby for the emergency evacuation of individuals experiencing serious health issues requiring further medical management.

Activities Conducted:

1. First Aid Treatment: Medical staff provided immediate first aid treatments to attendees.

2. Medication Refill: Medicines were refilled for individuals with non-communicable diseases (NCDs).

3. NCD Screening: Screening for NCDs was carried out to identify and address health concerns among participants.

4. Stroke Risk Assessment: Conducted in collaboration with Desuup Plus and the Bhutan Stroke Foundation, stroke risk assessments were completed in an adjoining tent.

Statistics:- Total Number of People Reported for Various Ailments: 3005.

Total Number of Referrals to Emergency Room: 16

Total Number of People Screened for NCDs: 2830

Conclusion:The collaborative efforts of the medical team ensured that the health needs of those attending the Tsapoed Wang were met effectively.
