The Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) and Antimicrobial Stewardship (AMS) team at CRRH is currently conducting a series of training and sensitization sessions for hospital staff on the National Multidrug-Resistant Organisms (MDRO) Guideline, the Sepsis Pathway, and the updated Infection Prevention and Control Guideline.
Conducted in several batches to encourage broad participation, the training involves clinical staff, allied healthcare workers, and support staff across the hospital. The sessions are facilitated by trained members of the hospital’s AMS and IPC team and are supported through funding from the Fleming Fund project.
The training focuses on strengthening awareness and practices related to early identification of Multi-drug Resistant Organisms, appropriate patient isolation, implementation of transmission-based precautions, and consistent adherence to infection prevention measures. These efforts contribute to enhancing patient safety, preventing the spread of infections, and supporting better treatment outcomes.
Through this initiative, CRRH continues to promote collaborative efforts among healthcare workers to further improve infection prevention practices and the overall quality of patient care.
