Quality Assurance unit

The QA unit is mandated to promote and guide the implementation of the quality culture in the hospital and establish structure and process to ensure continuous quality improvement (CQI) in the delivery of health care services. The other mandates are to up­hold the quality of healthcare services, to meet the needs of the patient and to fulfill the Key Performance Indica­tors (KPI), such that all the quality assurance activities should be strictly aligned as per the Bhutan Healthcare for Quality Assurance (BHSQA) standards. The BHSQA requires healthcare centers to fulfill 116 standards, 639 object elements and 67 key performance indicators for Regional Referral Hospital.

The unit consists of:

  • 1 Program officer
  • 1 QA focal person
