Emergency unit & General OPD

Emergency and General OPD Unit consists of:

  • 1 Emergency Physician
  • 5 General Duty Medical Officer
  • 1 Health Assistant
  • 1 Clinical Officer
  • 18 Nurses
  • 5 Emergency Responders – 1 EMRO, 4 EMR

 

Services

  • 2 fully equipped resuscitation beds
  • 2 blood transfusion beds
  • 9 acute medical care beds
  • 1 minor OT
  • 1 delivery bed
  • 1 isolation bed
  • Triage room with provision for 18 patients and their attendants
  • Provides OPD services to the majority of cases in CRRH.
  • Interdepartmental OPD referrals for specialist management
  • Manned by 1 GDMO, 1 HA and 1 CO
  • All emergency cases, emergency procedures and scans and initial management of all cases.
  • Attend to emergencies at the IPD as and when required.
  • One stop crisis center
  • Medico legal cases
  • Initial management of referral cases from districts
  • BEAR services provided by trained BEAR team
  • Lead in Disaster management
  • Administration of antibiotics, blood transfusion, IV medications and nebulization services on OPD basis
  • BLS and ACLS training
  • Theory and practical classes for nursing students
  • CME’s on emergency cases and management for staffs
  • Disaster management training and simulation programs
  • District Attachment training of post-graduate resident doctors and Intern doctors from KGUMSB
